Hey Guys...Haven't been on in a while due to a move to a new place and all of what that entails....fast forward to Friday morning and I am shredding one of the pastures on my 4046. I noticed that the steering seemed to be "off" almost like there was a catch in the system...it was not smooth at all. I traveled about another 15 feet and looked down at my front wheels and to my horror they were covered in oil! I immediately shut down the tractor and got out to investigate. As I got underneath the tractor I could see that there was a LOT of hydraulic fluid pouring out of the bottom of the tractor from points unknown. I tried to see if the filter had been punctured but was not successful in locating the source of the fluid..and managed to get some in my eye in the process. I called RCO and spoke to John and told him what happened. I had a small amount of spare fluid in the shop and he told me to go ahead and add that and pull it up on the trailer and bring it in. Fortunately for me they were not slammed in the service department and he said that they could look at it right away. After adding fluid and dropping the shredder, I was barely able to get the tractor on the trailer due to the low fluid level in the HST.

Once I arrived (about an hour drive from the house) they looked at the tractor on the trailer and determined that I had indeed punctured the filter. They replaced the filter and almost 8 gallons of fluid and had me back on the road in about an hour...and while I was there they knocked out a few small warranty items. (door gas strut) and changed a fuel filter. It's this kind of service that makes me very glad I chose to do business with RCO...no regrets! Thanks guys!!

Yep, John, Alex, Sam, etc. go above and beyond to create an excellent customer experience before and after the sale.

Rick, I'm working on getting my tires filled with the sealant they offer and adding a hydraulic side link. I already have the hydraulic top link and have been very happy...has the side link been worth it to you?

Thanks!

Ryan;

Bought my hydraulic top and side links from Brian at Fit-Rite Hydraulics. Yes, tilting side link is very handy with Woods rear grader blade. Just ordered a Land Pride rear blade and side link should give me all the tilt of blade I need. I'm only putting hydraulics on blade angle.

I'll find pics I took of how far I can tilt my grader blade in both directions. If you get a side link, move your present manual adjustable side link to opposite side from hydraulic link. Set hydraulic link for mid-stroke then level 3 point with the manual adjustable side link on other side.

Here is thread I started on top and side links;

Hope you find this helpful.

Just to add, I've purchased a second hand R3039 and am still working out some kinks considering no owner's manual, etc. John from RCO responded to some of my questions and was most helpful. I do not know if this tractor originally came from them or not but thanks to him, I did manage to change the oil and get to use it a little this weekend. What can you say about John and an organization that reaches out to folks like myself when they have nothing to gain. Must be a a class act over there and kind of restores one's faith in the human race. Thanks John!
