My CK30hst was hard to get into float after two years with two Winters. It was worse when below 32"F. I had taken off the silver caps that are on the front of the loader valve assembly and had found some moisture and corrosion. One is for the curl and the other is for lift, drop, float. I cleaned the caps well, put grease inside the caps, and used a very slight amount of silicone seal on the surface that mates with the valve. The cap for float has three small steel balls that need to move so it will lock into and out of the float position. It's been eight years now since the cleaning and it's works like new. There was a post at least a year or more ago where other members had the same problem.
