Alternator belt breaks after a few hours. Dealers say it is the nature of the beast. Is it a design problem or bad belts. I regret buying it over the Mule. Has Cub Cadet quality gone away. I can't sell it because there is not a fix for the belt problem. Are the new ones from Cub Cadet a POS too?

I just picked up a EFI. Haven't driven it around enough to have any issues. Also have a regular 20HP volunteer now with 600+ hours, only issue was a leaking oil drain bolt which I replaced and no further issues.

Perhaps find a different dealer...."nature of the beast" would not cut it with me.

How much you want for it??

MTD is gonna drive this Cub Cadet business right into the ground. You're getting alibis and excuses.
I guess the sales guy toldyou when you bought it, Oh by the way, you're gonna be replacing belts every few hours?
I wonder if anybody at MTD reads these threads?
My experience with Cub Cadet is you're many times on your own. You have to solve problems yourself. I have done that, on my GT-2550. I still have a few problems, but nobody at the dealer's seems too concerned. Or too competent. Sorry to say.
