This is a fairly new issue since around 200 hours. Currently at 220 hours. I did the 200 hour oil and filter change. I notice I am burning a little oil now requiring some minor top ups. When I start the tractor, the oil light comes on and stays on for one second, 2 seconds max after the tractor starts up and then goes off. I don't know if this is anything to worry about. I only ask because I am positive it never used to do this. As I say, I have to add a little bit of oil periodically but the dip stick is generally near the top mark. When I look in the crank case before starting the tractor though it looks dry in there. Any opinions? Thanks.

The light stays on until oil pressure builds up....What you see sounds perfectly normal to me.

Did you use the same brand oil filter as always? The same weight and brand of oil? I know some oil filters DON'T have anti drain back valves in them. If you used a filter with out the valve the oil will drain back out of the filter and it will take a little time for the oil pump to refill it. This will keep the oil light on a little longer. Did you use a Kubota filter?

Thanks, hopefully that's all it is.

Good to know about the drain back valve thanks. It was a kubota filter bought from the dealer. I'll ask them about it next time I am in there. I did also change the hydraulic fluid filter at 200 hours but that is topped up to correct levels also. I would think that would be a different light if that was a problem though.
