Tractor
Grand L3540 ,724 loader, bucket, grapple and now forks also! And just for OP.. a pool!
I've found a Linebach Line box frame disc, screw adjust, locally, slightly used for $1200, or new for $1600..

Right size for my L3540 tractor, how's the quality on these? anyone have one that they've been using for a couple years? how does it hold up?

Keep in mind that Leinbach is out of business, so parts will be hard to come by.

The closest harrow that we make to it is our Xtreme Duty Deluxe Box Frame Harrow.
I'd recommend a 16-18 68" wide model for your tractor.

Interesting that their site is still up and owned by you. What's the relationship?

Ted used to sell their attachments. Our manufacturing was born when theirs went downhill. The result has been great for us.....and our customers!

Well I just went to have a look at your site, watched the video, and it looks/sounds very nice. My problem is , unfortunately, like usual, you guys are sneaking just out of my price range.:(

One of these days we are going to start hooking up on some stuff (I hope). SO.. My thought is give me a great deal on one, gain another good spokesman for your product, And you are close enough I can probably come pick it up and save the whole shipping thing! :D

You can ping me off line or PM me so as not to cause a stir...

One thing to consider is that there aren't a whole lot of specific parts to a disc. The discs, bearings, shafts, etc. are usually stuff you can find elsewhere... fairly easily in most cases.

That leaves the frame to go bad. Being a simple piece of angle iron or tube steel, it's usually not too hard to repair.

With ANY used item, make sure it's not beat or if it is, you know what you have to put it in it. If all the pans are shot, the bearings are shot, shafts bent, etc... you could spend way more than you anticipate just to get it in usable condition... and it's often times better in that case to buy new.

EA makes great stuff of course, not saying it's not a worthy investment.

Yea, we'll get you over to the eye doc one of these days!

Leinbach made good harrows. As previously noted, most of the parts shouldn't be a problem, but Leinbach did use some odd bearings that will be hard to find.
Really, the only thing that Ted borrowed from Leinbach's design is the screw gang adjustment.

Seriously, there's a TON of difference, so I won't even compare ours to the Leinbach.

EverythingAttachments Box Frame Harrows have more in common with the Woods brand than any other harrow on the market.
The main thing that we borrowed from the Woods harrow is the un-pierced main frame, which greatly adds durability. After looking at them all, the Woods frame was Ted's favorite.

If you look closely, you'll see several improvements that we made to improve the Woods.

  • The tubes that the gang hangers are attached to are capped with solid plastic on the Woods. Ours are capped...well, not really capped, but closed with solid steel for extra rigidity.
  • The Woods has a bolted up 3pt hitch, which saves money and is cheaper to ship. The ETA hitch is solid welded.
  • The upright gang hangers(that the bearings are bolted to) are flat on the Woods. Ours are formed for extra durability.
  • To adjust the angle of the Woods, you have to remove a bolt/pin and wrestle it back and forth to choose one of the 4 adjustment points.. Easy, infinite adjustment via the cranks on the front and rear of the ETA.
  • Compare the price of ours to a Woods....you'll see a big difference there as well.

Yes, a disc harrow is a disc harrow. They're made to tear up dirt, but hopefully this lets you know why the ETA is several hundred dollars more than a brand new(or slightly used) Leinbach harrow.

I'm not doubting at all that yours is a better product, but a person has only "so much" money to spend and I also need a new bucket and a seeder to get all my work done... well, till I need other stuff that is! ;-)

So I went and looked at this used Linebach today, tape measure in hand. Turns out its a 20x20 all notched discs, 7 1/2"spacing...with the rear gang set almost straight its about 7' wide at its widest, looks to be perfect in condition 'cept the surface rust.,,, getting to big for my tractor? 37hp L3540 Kubota..

I had a old heavy 8ft disk once behind a Allis Chalmers wd and it was a no go. Barely could pull it and the disk was so high up brackets the tractor ran out of lift space
