Kubota M7060

Another example of my ignorance, I've never heard of LS tractors, and it looks like there's a dealer 18 miles from me.

This is why you research, research, and then when you are done, you do more research. Unless you like to second guess yourself, do the research.

John Deere, New Holland, Case IH, Kubota, Massey Ferguson, just to name a few, have 75HP open station models w/ hydraulic shuttle.

Neither one offer a 75 hp tractor without a cab...LS gets closer with a 65

You are correct, but that is not what you asked for, is it???

Curious what other tractors with 65-75 hp have hydraulic shuttle like the kubota? Maybe I should be comparing apples to apples if I'm wanting to stay away from mechanical shuttles?

Unless you are working this machine for long hours day after day after day and your left leg just gives out, none of them will out work the Mahindra.

The Kioti that I linked to is 73hp, does not have a cab. What is it that you are looking for? :confused3: 73 is a lot closer to 75 than the 65hp LS.

That Kioti there has much to offer and priced right from what a quick search showed on tractorhouse.

Unfortunately I don't have a Kioti dealer within 100 miles of my place...but really like the looks of the rx7320

mtwashingtonhunter : just a quik followup note on b/h. my experience is that if you're considering a 7' hog, it's kind of an odd ball size...people usually jump from single spindle 6' to twin 8'. not sure if they make a 7 in twin. with a 7' single, them blades (i call them knives) are big! and when you hit something, you & the tractor are going to feel it. i was amazed just how much smoother operating my 8'twin was over my previous 6' (both hd models) just a note. also, riding over growth as large as you described could be tough on a new tractor...something is likely to get tore up underneath, hyd filters, lines, etc. would hate to see that on your new machine. just imho :)

Thanks bigbubba!
Salesman at Kubota dealer was not a fan of 7' cutters... I'm thinking bigger the better, but I have to think of transporting a larger cutter also.
This is a great forum, I appreciate all the advice.

Well, an 8 footer would take up less length than a 6, so better for transport.

My research tells me a lift type cutter has more benefits in tight spots than a pull behind?
Seems I'm finding more pull behind twin spindles?

Yep. My 6ft single spindle cutter is the same length as my 10ft dual spindle.

My 10ft dual spindle is 3pt lift type. It's a load on my M9540. I add 1000lb of suitcase weights to the front of the tractor. But for most of my use I like the maneuverability.

There are pros and cons for both 3PH and pull type cutters, we have both. In the size and for the purposes you describe, my choice would be a 3PH.

Opinions on this 8' lift super duty Rhino? Seems to be well built and offer great cutting capacity for a multi spindle lift style cutter.

Looks good and a low enough price. My deere mx7 was 4k and is rated for 2". It weights 1332 lbs. it has a double deck with each one being 10 ga. I don't know how manufactures come up with ratings whether it's based off the gear box or deck/side skirt thickness. I'm washing I had gotten an 8' now over my 7' due to being easier on the tractor and shorter length.
