Does anyone know what the Tractor Supply 3tph Post Hole Digger weighs (without the augers)? It is not listed on the internet and a call to the store was unsuccessful. Thanks.

I believe that the current CountyLine model is a re-branded SpeeCo Model 65. Maybe you can find the specs for that model easier.

Don't know about the weight but I bought the TSC PHD and it worked great. 9" Auger in hard soil and it did the job. Good luck

I have a similar unit built by Worksaver I think. I've replaced the teeth once and and the auger once(12") About 500 holes through red clay and rocks. Plan on another 100 this fall. I did weld on brackets to add extra weight.

I have a TSC Post hole digger. I didn't weight it. I can guess about 130 to 150 lbs. I been using a 12" auger and did 75 holes in hard pack dirt and rock. No problem beside have to get the large rocks out by hand.
SpeeCo makes the Post hole digger for TSC.

Usually you can handle them if you mount the frame onto the 3pt hitch, then the gearbox assembly and PTO shaft. I keep mine vertical with an overhead chain, and position the frame at just the right height so I can swing the auger over and pin it. More weight is good!

The TSC is not the same as the SpeeCo. The one thing that drew me to the TSC over the others at the same price point was the extra reinforcement it has in the high stress area. It has a huge gusset where the yoke attaches to the boom. Thanks for all the replies.

I guess it depends on your area. Here, the TSC PHD is made by SpeeCo.

The website photos on TSC show the SpeeCo. TSC's other supplier based on area is Tarter... their PHDs look nothing like it.

The 65 shows a weight of about 140 lbs, the HD is a little bit heavier. The TSC model is somewhat of a combination of the 65 and HD, not sold as SpeeCo. I would guess that the TSC would be about 155 lbs.

I'm 100% sure my TSC Post hole digger is a Speeco. I had the gear box warranty. Speeco did it for me.

Yeah, it's just that TSC has multiple suppliers for CountyLine. IE, the box blade here might be KK, but on the west coast it could be Tarter. I didn't think they bought Tarter PHDs though, just Speeco... but I could be wrong.

I just bought one from TSC in Delaware and it is a Speeco PHD also. I would guess about 150 lb without the auger. It is a nice unit. I got it on sale without any sales tax for 560$ with a 9" auger.

I purchased one on sale plus a 10% off coupon last fall, its still in its crate. In Maine the TSC attachments are usually from Tarter, but the PHD is a SpeeCo. The model I have matches up to the website.

SpeeCo customer service might be able to help get the exact weight.

The TSC Post Hole Digger is this Speeco unit Content Page
I just bought one awhile back. I called Speeco about their down force kit (decided to go with bar bell weights bolted through the hole in the arm) and they told me their parent company makes them for them and TSC along with others. Call TSC again and ask for the shipping weight on the item and take about 25 lbs off for the crate.

Thanks for all the feed back. I just got back from TSC with the post hole digger. It was $50 off today. Yipee. FWI, the back of the instructions has the SpeeCo label. I'll pick up the augers in Montana when I arrive there next month. I need a 6" for posts and the 12" for some footings.

Looking to buy a PHD for put up some poles. The TSC PHD is in stock at the local store, any other brand of PHD is going to be an order and ship.

The price point on the TSC PHD is good and the plus of being local.

Since most that have posted here on this thread has had experience with the TSC PHD, I would like to know if you would recommend the TSC PHD? Are they built sturdy and if there are any complaints to be had about them.

I have a TSC Post Hole digger. It's a well built unit and work well on 75 holes. I just need a few sheer bolts.
