Thanks to all of you for your input! Last Tuesday PM I took possession of a 2015 Silverado LT. I drove the '15 Tundra with the 4.6L V8 and the 5.7L V8. They seemed like fine trucks, but did not impress the way the Silverado with 5.3L V8 did. Over the years I've had '74 GMC (100 k miles), '82 Chevy (132k miles), '94 Chevy (194 k miles) and lastly '00 Tundra (150 k miles). No pictures yet as it is away from home today getting a bedliner and steps installed. I enjoyed reading all of your replies and thank you all for your time!

Frank

Yeah, get some pics when you can! I hope you like it as much as I like my 2014 Sierra. The 5.3 V8 has been outstanding, especially on gas mileage.

I love the looks of the newer GMC trucks, real clean and mean. I've been a Toyota guy for a long time though. I'm sure you'll love that new GMC. Looking forward to pics.

Yes, pics are required.
How was pricing and price discounts?

I found out after buying a gray toyota that their white is a single stage. No clear coat from factory! Glad I didn't go with white, that was my 2nd choice

I love the looks of the new GMCs. Congrats!! And to echo others, we need pictures!!!!

With that said, is there really a bad truck out there? Personally I'd love to have a Tundra too. I really like the TRD off-road package with a regular cab 4x4 short bed. There is one running around my area with a small lift and plow and looks like a great plow rig/daily driver.

BTW- dealer experience (like with tractors) is a very big issue to me now. I've crossed more dealers off of the list since I bought my 2012 that I care to admit. I was put in a bit of a bind at the time due to circumstance and coincidence, but will never position myself that way again. Its always jaded me with my current truck, which has been nearly flawless and the truck I've always wanted.

I hope your dealer experience was better than mine, though you won't likely need them for much afterwards.

The pictures are here! Not the greatest weather tonight, but I wanted to get these up before I got it any dirtier!! My dealer has been great, so far. I got about 10% off MSRP and got a fair trade for the 2000 Tundra. Overall, pleased to date.

Good looking truck. I had to zoom in on the picture to see the 4x4 sticker wasn't sure if you went with a 4 wheel drive or 2 wheel.
