Kubota BX2200D,
I decided to start using my BX mower deck to cut grass this year.
When I check the blade height to the height indicator dial the blades are 3/4" lower than the setting. The rear lift links are adjusted all the way up. Nothing appears to be bent and the deck is level.

Anyone have a suggestions on what would be the cause of this?

Thanks,

Dave

I have a similar if not identical situation with a RCK60B-23BX on my BX2350 which has eluded solution for a couple of years. No matter the setting on the Cutting Height Control Dial and/or the Anti-Scalp wheels (ACW) the mower always drops to the point it is riding on the ACW as opposed to floating as it should. Sadly, I haven't a clue as to the cause or possible solution and was about to post when your OP appeared.

Hey Dave,
Speaking from experience, the numbers on the dial height dial are not absolute heights. They form a relative scale. Since your deck is level, I suggest you find a setting that matches the look you want and get mowing😊

Thanks guys. I will inspect the height adjustment cam stop for wear but cannot imagine it has worn that much.
For now I will just set it at 3 1/2" to get close to the 3" I need.

I had a similar experience with my BX22...turns out my tires were improperly inflated.

If you have one of the higher settings on the dial chosen and it still drops to the ground, you may have the problem I did. The entire angle iron bracket that the dial is mounted on snapped right off the frame. The tail is documented in one of the first threads I ever started. I had to strip down the operators station to get at it from the top and get it welded up. But there was a *LOT* of wear on mine also at only 600 hours.

My deck is not dropping just height of blade does not agree to dial height. Blade is 3/4" lower than the dial. I will inspect the cam to see if it is worn. I have 1300hrs on mine.

Just bought a bx2200. Adjusted so I can turn knob to top, but at 4, it cuts at 3 inches. From what I can tell, you shorten the front bracket to raise the front, but I cant for the life of me figure out where the rear adjusts. Am guessing it is the threaded rods on the rear hangers, but they do not have heads, so how do you turn them? Also, can one not use quotation marks and apostrophes when posting?

Thanks
David

You take the rear hangers loose to turn

Can you elaborate? I know next to nothing about Kubotas. Maybe, if it was green, I could figure it out. Take them loose from where?

Wouldn’t adjusting the rear (or front, for that matter), adjust the other some by default?

Pull the spring loaded pin as if you are removing mower. This clears the threaded rod part, then turn to raise or lower.
Reinstall pin.

What exactly do I turn? The threaded rod? Is counterclockwise a longer cut.
