Grand L3540 ,724 loader, bucket, grapple and now forks also! And just for OP.. a pool!

Ok, I have a Kubota L3540 with the smallish Kubota (metric probably) quick disconnects for a end of loader mounted implement (had a WR Long 4 in 1 bucket up there) , anyway, I just traded it for a 4' root grapple that have the American 1/2 inch I believe disconnects on it.

So is it better/easier to change the connections on the loader (my thought) or on the grapple? And am I going to run into a metric to SAE adapter nightmare or will the ones at tractor supply work and how do I tell??

Thanks, I want to get this grapple into service....

Go to this link and select the coupler chart download. You can match your coupler, go to the page below the download and get the specs on your couplers and find the thread size/type. My kubota loader has NPT connections to the quick connects.

If it is simple I would adapt the loader connections to the conventional 1/2 sae connection you mentioned. For the most part that is an ag industry standard here in the states and is very very common.

Which is exactly what I ended up doing, had to go to 3 different places but I collected everything and changed both the tractor and the grapple to 1/2" connections.

Aren't they just normal 3/8" ISO7241-A or B connectors? Even here in the metric world we don't have metric QDs....

They were "normal" 3/8" connectors, but nobody anywhere around here have them so I changed out both sets to 1/2" ones.. kind of the standard I hear.

Isn't it a tight fit with the 1/2" couplers to hookup and unhook?
