1/2 throttle?

One of our operators keeps running our 5600 at half throttle. Will this foul the turbo?

What RPM is "half throttle"? Personally, I run my equipment at whatever rpm needed to get the job done without "LUGGING" the engine. (usually 1700 to 2200)Turbo fouling is usually a result of underloading the engine, or excess idling.

I don't know the RPM's, but can tell it is not at full power.

Our 5610 Series F idles at just over 1200, and I think max is 2800, so half is 2000.

I told my wife to run 1800rpm, Hi-Flow with the 7' brush hog. It has plenty of reserve power to go up small hills when mowing.

Same here on any machine I run.

Same here. It's very rare that I run any machine at "rated" rpm. I've never had any issues with turbos sooting up. Somewhere around half throttle seems to be my sweet spot.

It is not hurting the turbo.

A diesel engine is built to run WOT 24/7 . I have started backhoes , excavators at -0 and as soon as they catch rev them up . Get them hot and quit ******* around with all this (HOW MANY RPM ) QUESTIONS . A diesel engine runs on heat , combustion , not a ******* sparkplug . I have cranked these engines in the middle of the night ,0 below and never had an issue . I see 20 ? Aday about this warming up thing . It is not going to warm up until you work it . DONE .
