Call me a skeptic: We don't even know what's at the bottom of the ocean, a mere 7 miles down right here on earth. We can't even find a jetliner in our own ocean.

There's no way that we can say that a little signal was broadcast 5.5 BILLION years ago. Good grief...

It's probably aliens. I'll bet it was all done with mirrors and gravity lenses to disguise the true origin of the signal. The degree of polarization and the frequency spectrum is no doubt how aliens encode their radio bursts.
