The pallets are thread generators. By the looks of things, they work quite well, as this thread has now managed to regenerate itself far beyond the allotted lifespan of any sane, decent thread.

Back when this thread was started and we were still on the alien theories I stacked some pallets. That was almost a year ago. My pallets are still there as stacked, I checked on them today. No aliens came, no one came to tell me what they were for and nothing happened... Pippette didn't even show up!
Going to put some boots on the fence and sneakers on the telephone wire next and see if I'm luckier there..
