Resurrect the pallet thread?
Everybody hates the pallet thread! Well almost everybody.....

He did
What has been seen cannot be unseen, What has been read cannot be unread. What is known cannot be unknown. What members have said cannot be unsaid. What Sparc started he wil not revisit. We are on our own. Beware of the pallet thread.

Dave,

Your sales pitch just reminded me. During Festivus, I caught an episode of North Woods Law in which the wardens were looking for a miscreant in Industry. Was that you?;)

Steve

What? Miscreant? Sir, I am offering a unique, valuable and legitimate service here. You have been watching too much TV my friend, a practice well known for inducing paranoia--but you have come to the right person in your time of desperate need.

For $19.95 plus shipping and handling, I can arrange the procurement of genuine Industry grown, harvested and processed anti-delusion tisane made from select grade AAA chaga mushroom. VISA and M/C accepted.

OH GEE! ! ! Just as I was getting over my fear of the saga, "Pallets in the field".
It is like a Phoenix rising out of the never ending pages of the never ending useful information.
Someone has upset the Phoenix by inserting some information that will eventually help somebody on their quest.

T.J.

Back to the original idea of this long thread. I went back and looked at the OP's pics. Is this a sod farm? If so I've seen sod loaded on pallets before. They probably lean them together so they don't rot on the ground. Probably not a good answer since there would be more of them.

I've also seen farmers hang stuff on fence posts to give them a target when driving a tractor from the far end of the field. Are they some kind of target?

This is kind of like Easter Island or Stone Hedge, we may never know.

I just got into this thread and so I haven't had the pleasure of reading all 2126 posts. But I get the impression that nowhere back in the pages has there been posted an answer. Can this be true?

And how is it that given the crew on this site there is no one out there who does this themselves or at least knows of someone else who does it?

I mean, I really want to know the answer. Maybe there are real benefits to doing this and I (we) should take up the practice.

I have fields and lots of pallets so maybe I'll go out and set up a few. [a] Maybe something really good will happen; or a neighbor will stop and say "hey, I see you're doing an autoregressive fractoid dispersion, how's it going."

You need to go back and review the scientific literature on this topic.;) We learned early on from sparc (the OP) that he had seen the pallets in fields that had been in soybeans and tomatoes.

WHAT, did you not know that it is an unforgivable sin punishable by total rejection for not reading all 2128 posts (as we all have done) before adding your comments?
