Tire Pressure

Gustafson, why do you load your tires? What are the benefits?

Significantly improved traction and stability. The difference between tractor with and without loaded rear tires is like day and night.

I would have to agree with you, my bx doesn't have loaded tires, but I wish that it did. Just got the FEL for it a little over two months ago and I can already tell that i would love to have filled rear tires for using the FEL. But not so much for mowing with R-4's.

I think that heavy use of your new FEL will illuminate the need for loaded rear tires or, at very least, a ballast box on your 3-point. Wait until you try to pick up a big load with FEL and you raise one or both rear tires off of the ground. Did that once with previous Kubota B2710 that had unloaded R1's, trying to pull a root out of the ground with Chain on the FEL. Filled rears with water same day. Made no difference with mowing with both 72" MMM or 60" rotary cutter if that's your worry. Just way better stability and traction.

Good luck
