61 john deere 4010 diesel injector pump problem.

The diesel engine won't rev up, stars hard and dies when at idle. I pulled the pump and found the metering valve stuck and there had been water in the fuel. I got the valve unstuck after using penetrating oil. The spring on the valve linkage is rusty and I took it out. when I did this the spring and collars popped out with and I don't know their proper position so I need help with a diagram or directions to assemble it. I can't get the cross pin with throttle link on it apart. it must be corroded.I would like to get the pump completely apart to see if there is more trouble. Need help.

Most likely the best chance for a diagram is a nearby JD dealer.. An even better option would be a tractor salvage yard! 'Cause you'll likely need to replace those corroded and rusty components, anyway. And you'll see exactly what goes where..
