Sure...First let me say I have no formal education particle physics etc...This is all just my own opinion/theory on how both science and religion/spirituality could be compatible...

...have you've done any reading on the "string theory"?

That is...understanding that all things are actually made up of (extremely) tiny strings of energy...Below is a common quote to offer an insight into just how small these strings are...compared to a single atom...

Also, one has to understand that all mass is/has energy...but energy can also have no mass...take light photons for example...so my theory is that there are "other things" that can also exist (as energy) without mass (elements)...from mental thoughts to our souls etc....etc...etc...

...to expand my own theory a bit...I think properties may exist that allow different forms of (mass-less) energy to collect or attract cohesively...with enough energy to possibly produce physically appearing things like auras, ghosts etc...(ever heard of the "power of positive thinking?)

To further expand my theory...if there are other "special" types of mass-less energy I think there can be "very special" types of energy...take souls for example...I think it could be possible that "soul energy" has the ability to procreate either to the positive or the negative...

I don't want to take my off the wall theory any further here as I am continually trying to make both science and spirituality mesh...for my own self...

I have been an amateur student of the string theory since its concept was introduced to the masses and the more I learn about it the more it helps me think "there is an answer"...

Here is the problem that we simply cannot get over. I am sure there is lots of life out there among the billions and billions and trillions of stars, but it is simply too far away. Even at the speed of light, which is as fast as we can possibly go (and we have not even achieved that yet), it is so far away it would take so many millions and billions of years to get here, that we will never be able to communicate with life on other planets, much less get there.

I saw a show on PBS one time. They were trying to explain how light travels, time, etc...

They had two speed boats cruising along about 30 MPH parallel to each other. The camera was in the boat on the right, looking at the boat on the left. Relative to each other, the boats were going at the same speed.

Then, the left boat made a 90 degree turn and sped off at what seemed like a really fast pace. However, the driver of the left boat never increased the throttle, and, in fact, was still going 30mph. Its all in perspective from the point in time and space that your are.

Now you are back on the "time" issue. As I said earlier, when we can overcome "time", this planet will be unnecessary. Then we'll true know what's out there. Because "out there" will be as close as your backyard.

That's a pretty "heavy" statement, simple yet almost infinitely complex. I agree with all except "UFO's-No such thing". Man has made objects which, if they ever got there, would be considered by other worlds as UFO's. So if you accept that there is intelligent life out there, and that some of it is surely more advanced than us, then they have flying objects too. It's just that we will never reach them nor they us. The sadness is the part about intelligent life eventually destroying itself. That must be true, as our government doesn't seem all that intelligent, yet is doing a fine job of trying to destroy us.
