I was quoted a good price for for Herc's in 235/85-16 for my 5th wheel. My rims are E rated so I would only be inflating to 80psi, but for durability the 14ply steel construction would be a bonus.

However, I looked online and see their passenger tires have gotten some bad reviews. Any of you guys use them and what's your opinions?

Thanks

Some times you just gotta try them, live & learn kinda thing. If it's a primary, everyday, gotta run work type vehicle, you'll either be fine, or learn real quick that the extra money should have been spent. If it's a secondary, low mile/occasional use type truck…………
Hercules has been around for quite a while.

It's hard to say. I deal in trailers and will not touch Goodyear Marathon Tires but two of my 3 vehicles I chose Goodyear Dura Tracs.

So long story short is they may make a excellent trailer tire and a crap auto tire and vice versa.

By the way we have ran Hercules on trailers with no issues.

The big truck tires don't stay round, we have used them on trailers and steers, all were junk before 25k.

Well that's the kind of reviews I was reading about the P tires they made. My other option for tires are the Bridgestone Duravis LT. "E" rated. So I guess that will be the way I go.

lt tires are junk

That MIGHT be true, but they are better "junk" than ST tires. I have yet to have an ST tire last me 2 years. I am done with them. I am not alone in this either, most everyone I know is switching their 5th wheels to LT. To each their own!!!

My GN has 8 Firestone transforce LT's. I have no complaints

Total junk if they are like the winters on the wife's Hyundai. Really squirrely, so we swapped them out for Michelin ice-x. Very little wear on the Hercules too.

Yea that was what I was hearing about them, thanks. Gonna go with Bridgestone Duravis instead.
