I would love a review of the soft cab. How was install, and maybe a follow up after a month or two of use?

I would love a review of the soft cab. How was install, and maybe a follow up after a month or two of use?

So far I love it. I was pretty straight forward for install. Took 2 guys about an hour. You had to install the solid one piece canopy unto the roll bar. Then the Soft cover on top of it, the sides are zippered to the top edge of the canopy. Once all the sides are hanging free there are some metal wide clips that you bend to go under the fenders and some bungie cords to tighten the back to the frame. No need to take cover off when transporting as it will withstand winds of up to 80 mph. It was installed I believe in Aug 2014 and used it with the loader till I put the blower on 3 weeks ago. No follow up, as the cab was left for about 3 days in the heat with the sides hanging to expand before the final adjustments. I am very happy with it. The only downfall is the doors are zippered. The drivers side has Velcro so you don't have to unzip it every time you want to go in. Once inside the side doors will fold up to a piece of Velcro to hold it up and then the whole door slides to behind the side panel or you can take the side doors right they are on a track. The back panel has a zipper so you can open it up for ventilation. The windshield is a thicker plastic than the sides and has a electric windshield wiper. I also found it very loud inside when all the doors are closed so I wear construction type head phones. Sure beats siting in the cold and having snow blow all over you. This will be my first winter using this cab so not sure how it will be in the cold. Will it fog up? will I need a heater or a fan? these are question that I will be able to answer later on.
For the price of 1800 installed + taxes in Canada=2100 and worth it compared to a factory cab which is from 4-8,000 dollars. My Kioti dealer ( Bromley Farm Supplies, Douglas ,Ontario) ordered the cab from Cover My Tractor, Click Here. If interested call your dealer. Hope this helps.

Agreed, I also find that a good quality transfer shovel works better than those cheap plastic snow shovels.

Ya probably a new JD 150 hp for the price of what she would cost! 25 years ago my old neighbor 70 year old man told me that a women cost at least 1000 bucks per pound. So with inflation it must be like 1750$ per pound now so lets say 125lbs x 1750$ =218750$ now that would be some nice tractor!!!!

This is the larger half of my setup. Recently got a 90's Arien's ST1032 walk behind to augment. Should make doing the sidewalks and rear deck easier. Speaking of which I need to build a ramp to get the blower up on the deck LOL. This is a 1979 Simplicity 9523 / Allis Chalmers 5020 Hinemoto manufactured tractor. 23 PTO HP 540 PTO speed 2wd Manual tranny. I fabricated the mount for the Meyers plow. You can see my stabilizer bar which runs underneath. It goes from the front plow mount back to the rear trailer hitch assembly to stiffen everything up. May be overkill but better safe than sorry! This way when I plow snow the plow mount is reinforced right back to the rear of the tractor. fwiw The snowblower is an Inland brand which I had to modify quite a lot to get it work effectively. Didn't throw far enough. It's still challenged but much improved. We have certainly had our share of snow here this year. 8ft + within the last couple of weeks. Unfortunately, the implements got buried in the collapsed shelter so I had to dig out of all that with the Arien's. Now that is apart for modifications and bearing/belt replacements. We did have 10" of powder snow last night and this setup worked a treat today. Enjoy.

Picked up a piece of conveyor belt 4 feet wide and 5 feet long and 3/4" thick. Cut one foot off and bolted to back blade to make a snow plow. Should be good for a few snow storms.

Great idea! Were you running into issues tearing up the ground with the regular back blade?

My driveway is in really bad shape (paved but all cracking and coming apart, needs to be redone) and when I lower my heavy rear blade on it I tend to rip up a lot of "chunks" in the driveway. Something like this would probably help.

Where is "here" at? Help if you'd put your location in your bio. Then we'd know about where 8' of snow fell.



And what are the side wings on the front plow? Look like something to keep snow from filling in behind the blade. ?? Or do they fold out?

I bought this snowblower last June as a demo model. When I went to Oslo area to pick it up I saw it was brand new. Not to bad... After some minor adjustment it fits the front hook-up.
There is no electric chute adjustment on the snowblower but if I will miss this it won't be to difficult to add it i guess.

Let us know if the Hydraulics on the 3030 is enough to run that Blower. I thought most Ag tractors with Aux hydraulics did not provide enough umph to run a Blower.

thats a front pto blower. the hyd is for chute rotate only . should run fine

I agree with you grsthegreat. I have the front mounted snow blower on CK 30. The hydraulics are controlled by my joystick raises/lowers blower and rotates right/left shute. Blower runs of mid PTO. Now if the blower was attached to FEL arms then a bigger hyd pump would be needed or an extra reservoir just to run the blower. Isn't the 3030 a Kubota 30 HP?
