Perhaps a dumb question but I noticed my hydraulic fluid level has decreased after ~28 hours on the tractor. I looked in the manual and it recommends 423/424 and Exxon 560, Donax TD/TD Plus and BP TAACTRAN UTH. These aren't carried by local auto parts stores. One place said they can order a 5 gallon bucket (Yikes). I just need to replace fluid due to usage and evaporation (I found out this stuff evaporates through the use process). Thinking having on hand 4-6 quart bottles. Recommednations or do I do the internet buy thing?

Thanks as always

Jeff

Your Welcome, They do have 2 gallon jugs.

Yes Sir, Traveller $17.99 and available at my local TSC. With an Ag Exempt, that's out the door. Pretty fair price. I don't think I'll burn through 5 gallons any time soon. Appreciate the heads up and it's been rated 5 stars. Must be the ticket :) . I finished grading and reclaiming the portion of my drive that wasn't asphalt, approximately 5 full loads (I think 12 yards per load) from the material fella (his estimate). I carefully used the box blade with the shanks down one notch to loosen the offending grass clumps then raised the shanks and it carried those clumps away. Almost like I knew what I was doing. We've lived here since '08 and the maintenance on a combination gravel and stone drive was impossible to keep up with until this tractor. While I still have much to learn I've realized the more seat time I have the more comfortable I've become.

How much fluid are you loosing? I would wash it and park it on a slab to be sure you don't have a leak somewhere.

No excessive amount, no leaks whatsoever and it's parked on a concrete drive. I double check all fluid levels and hoses/belts prior to work. Looks almost like I got it except for the blade scuffs. I'm OCD about keeping my equipment, as they say in the firearm industry, LNIB.

Perhaps box blade scuffs from working stone and gravel would be more accurate.
