Well the Nortrac 35XT (aka Foton TE354) arrived day before yesterday. All is well so far and it appears to be pretty well put together. Just some uphill hauling of large green Oak rounds so far but it sure makes it easier than it has been for 30 years with a garden tractor, lil trailer and my back.

Neighbor asked what I needed that big of a tractor for and I told him to go down by the road and see. Drove down the 1,000 foot hill we call our driveway, pulled up to the mailbox and got off and tossed the mail in the loader bucket and came back up.

. I'm just not a fan of FEL's on compact tractors, too many people want to go and "dig dirt" or overload the machine and it seems some main gear case/housing breaks or gears go away.

FELs on compact tractors is not a concern on any quality brand tractor.

Turning with power on with bucket being loaded seems to be the common problem. This seems to be true with any of the "major brands" as well. bjr
I can't say I agree with you here.
Over the past 13 years I have owned my compact tractor, I have dug/lifted and moved many hundreds of tons with the loader .
I use the loader to its maximum capacity often with no damage to the tractor.

That's a good looking mail fetcher. I do that to, as well as take out the trash can and bring it back in. Only about a 700' drive, but it's no fun wheeling a heavy trash can that distance over gravel.

Same here. Many hundreds of tons of rock moved here since I moved in. No problems with either the Kubota's or the Kioti. I have cleared a lot of trees and brush and rocks out. and built up level places (they don't exist naturally here in Branson) to build 2 buildings.

My opinion the front loader is one of the most useful attachments you can put on a CUT.
I know I will never own a compact tractor without one.

And I would never own a brand that could not tolerate one. If a brand of tractor can't stand up to having a loader it is not designed very well in my opinion.

Well if you enter the search terms -broken front axle, there seems to be a wide variety of brands mentioned.... some of the most expensive to.

it would seem that ( if) there is a bias

it is the small sized machines that are most common..

Although large machines aren't immune.. my :2cents:
