jk, you have one of the nicest homes I've ever seen. Hopefully, it will be a family heirloom for generations.

Thanks so much Kyle. I appreciate the comments. I've started taking some updated pictures as I finish some of the rooms. I'll update again with all of the photos when I wrap up. Here's a few so far including the outside now that the gutters are on and trim is painted.

Thanks Eddie. The wing with the master bedroom and bath is all stick built. We removed the timberframe on this wing during budget cuts. The timbers in the corners of the bedroom and the timbers around the tub in the master are not structural, we added them for aesthetics to help match the rest of the house. The tray ceiling and wood really helped us tie it all together. I don't think most people when walking in would ever notice this portion of the house wasn't timberframed.

Jeremy,

I only have one word. Amazing!!

Tom I owe you (or your wife as you mentioned) big time on the trim. If I had not run across your new home thread I never would have thought to add the extra detail on the door and window trim. It really sets them apart from a standard trim. I also saved a bunch of money using #2 pine and making our own trim. One of the local lumber yards was going out of business and I was able to buy all of the boards needed at about 40% of retail. So once again thank you very much.

I am still in awe. I really like how it has come together.

Could you post a few more pictures of the trim? Once I zoom in on my phone I can't tell how
It's put together. Did you round over the edges or leave them square?

Here's a couple of quick pics I was able to take tonight. Mine were very similar to Toms as his thread is where I got the idea. A couple of minor differences. I did a round over on the top and bottom 1" stock where I think Tom kept his square. I also chose not to round the short side of the head stock. I chose to use 1x4's for the head stock on the windows and 1x6's for the head stock on the doors.

Today was also cleaning day for the timbers. Its a strange feeling standing on a ladder without a wall in front of you. Made for a little sketchier feeling.
