Well, an interesting day for sure. Pilots on the grill portion of the kitchen range were out. That is common for the rear burner but not the front, so after breakfast I decided to check the LP tank. Gauge shows below zero. :( just topped off in Feb so no way it should be empty. Guessing we have a leak. Checked and found two rusted areas on the piping. Plumber coming tomorrow to do a pressure test and temp setup using gas bottles. Fortunately I have a 40 and two 20s standing by. Apparently, this pipe has a problem in our climate, this is 2nd leak in 7 years. This is the green coated steel pipe. Am considering taking this opportunity to switch out tanks and suppliers, will find out more Fri morning.

back in PA to clean up after the movers. Horrible drive up here, 9.5 hours thanks to a bus being pulled by a wrecker catching fire in the Balto tunnel, shutting it down totally. Spent over an hour sitting in the sun,and then inching through the tunnel. A bit claustrophobic

funny, I was thinking the same thing about asking about David/MF and here three others are too.
I think David needs all the support we can give him. I hope I didn't insult him by suggesting he sell his Harley...
we are all just trying to help. And I waved again David going past your exit.

am in a lot of pain from the accumulated everything, plus that drive. Neck is just killing me below where they fused the three vertebrae. Just like the surgeon said it would...impossible to wear a soft collar on a hot day; even my back belt keeps the heat in. I have plenty of pain meds but am doing my best to stay away from them. But I think this morning I may have to find a little white pill of something.

I'm headed to Florida where Larro is opening up his Fountain of Youth Hotel. Going to check in for a while...of course, a few of you might be there too...:D
it's one thing to get old. It's another thing to get old and hurt. I need to work on the latter, though considering I've been going 12 hours a day for six weeks, perhaps no wonder I hurt.

ok, enough moaning and groaning, doc appt this morning then Uship trucker comes for the second and last load of tractors, UTV, golf cart, etc. The golf cart's battery bank has died from lack of use, so that should be fun getting on the trailer. Need to pull the disconnect lever somewhere, and maybe I'll pull it up with the Kubota RTV400. And I sure hope my little tractor starts after sitting in there so long, piled with boxes, the indignity of it all...

69 this morning high of 85 later today with a chance of storms in the afternoon. There are some hints of a major cool down coming by next weekend not the upcoming but the next one. In some areas will feel like winter. Maybe highs here only in the 50s

Drew age gives us more wisdom but more aches and pains as well. We tend to get frustrated when things do not go right ie traffic jambs and pains that used to be a nuscienance are magnified. One needs to slow down and not try to cram to much into one day. Please take care of yourself.

MossFlower needs support and prayer and lots of it to get thru these dark times in his life. I'm sure everyone here wishes him the best and will listen to him anytime he needs them to. God bless you David

Partly cloudy and 64F here @ 05:00 ... heading up to a high of 87F today.

Wife just got up and was squeakin' about the place being a meat locker. Turns out the AC got left on all night and it was 64 inside the house too ... feels fine to me ... :D

Looks like I've rolled over to a daytime schedule for the moment ...

Got the shielding gas picked up yesterday, along with the resistors to (hopefully) repair the plasma cutter ... .5 Ohm rated for 50 watts (the originals were only 10 watts) with 1% tolerance. They look nice ... big gold anodized heatsinks on 'em ... lol ...

Dave ... the guy at the electronics recommended Easy Braid, with a "Here ... you'll need this ..."

Also got the names of a couple of local firms - including one within a couple miles of the house - that do board-level component replacement if I elect to go that route.

Finished sorting out all the wiring on the west wall. Got the holes drilled and the vise & stand bolted down to the floor up in the shed. Got the case for the Sawzall cleaned up, including cleaning the rust off of the blades (which were then oiled and bagged), ... also spent some time putting tools and other stuff away. Might try to get all the fasteners and small parts on the back bench put away today. Would be nice to have that cleared off.

Have a friend and fellow TBN member coming over later today to put another set of eyes on this 100A panel I installed, just to make sure there's nothing obviously wrong in what I did. One thing that has me perplexed is that there was no equipment ground bar included with it ... just a snotload of holes in the neutral bar.

The lawn still hasn't been mowed ... might be good to get that done by 14:00 or so, before it gets really warm out there.

Hope everyone has a good and productive day.

Probably more than three ... ;)

I think David needs all the support we can give him. I hope I didn't insult him by suggesting he sell his Harley...
Given your intent (to help) I rather doubt it. Sometimes conditions in life change, and ya just gotta do what ya gotta do.

we are all just trying to help.
Exactly.

I hear ya ... I've got something out of alignment in the middle of my back ... if I stand for any length of time (5 minutes) it feels like I'm being stabbed with a big metal poker. Need to go see the chiro and have him put the kung-fu whup on it. I'm way overdue ...

it's one thing to get old. It's another thing to get old and hurt. I need to work on the latter, though considering I've been going 12 hours a day for six weeks, perhaps no wonder I hurt.
Perhaps not ... ;)

You're probably far better off remaining active (even if overly so) than being sedentary tho' ...

Drinking first cup of coffee. 59° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 86° with lots of sun and humidity. Lawn did not get cut yesterday. Wife and I found other projects that needed to done first. I need to get it done today or will have to get rotary cutter out. Weather reports show that it's going to cool off after Friday. That should slow lawn growth down.
MossFlower, hope you are being able to get your problems straightened out soon.
Drew, glad things are finally coming to a close and you can settle down in your new place.
