I have a L175. The steering has gone out for the third time in 12 years. I think it is time to replace the whole assembly not just the bearings. An internet search shows that I can get an aftermarket assembly for about $425 and calling my local dealer it will be $800. I am leery of the aftermarket. I saw at least one review where it didn't fit properly. The dealer price of $800 makes me want to just throw another set of bearing in and live with the sloppy steering. Any thoughts out there?

Has anyone out there replaced the whole steering assembly on a Kubota L 175? Was it genuine Kubota parts or aftermarket? Any advice?

The L175 had a couple different steering versions. There are a few used L175 parts listed at Wengers - maybe you've looked there already. The main shaft seems like an important wear part.
