Are there special angled washers to use to bolt angled "C" channel steel.

Wedge washers. That are square shaped. We use them at my work for m12 bolts. Work good. Sometimes you need to grab the washers with pliers to keep it from spinning .

If you need only a few tapered washers and have a scrap piece of channel. Cut the flange off and drill holes in it to make washers.

Now that is a good idea if you only need a few.

They made a bunch of 3/4" x 6" HDG lags for us not too long ago. The lags were not available as stock items from anyone, and we needed thousands. The picture below shows one of the bulk boxes we received

That is a crap load of lag bolts, what were they used for if you don't mind me asking, I wouldn't want to be the poor guy driving them all ...Mike

I need 10 of those washers---1/2"--so it's too many to make by hand. I'll try the trailer hitch installer first. Thanks for that tip.

Standard accessories attached to truck frames are attached using "U" Bolts or All-thread and plates.
Drilling through the channel flange will weaken it!

Drilling through a 6" channel flange on a hot rod grocery getter pickup will be fine.
