Good morning. 0955, sunny, 89F {107 heat index} with 75% humidity. Forecast high of 94F with 30% chance of showers this afternoon, and a low of 72F tonight. No trip to Panama today, and since I did the shopping while I was down there yesterday, I don't even have to go to Marianna. Although the folks at the thrift shops will think I have died, missing two weeks in a row:eek: My only chores for the day are cooking a pot of peas {and whatever else I decide on for supper} and mopping Mamma's house. Sister spent about four hours cleaning it yesterday, so I'm getting off pretty light. I could always cut grass, but going to the river sounds a lot more fun to me.

Nothing personal, that is just my standard smoking joke. Your health, like so much in life, is mainly determined by genetics. Half of all the folks who die of lung cancer were smokers. That fact leads you to wonder what killed the other half. Was it air?

Hope everyone has a good day.

69F and .17 inches rain last 24 hours
Possibly
Hurricanes Iselle and Julio headed our way, possibly making appearance Thu.

No mowing yesterday, but I did make a town run, filled up the diesel cans, cashed in the recyclables.

Be safe
Have a great day.

David/Sodamo ,hope those two overly excited individuals go around you...and be safe. I hope you aren't landslide prone up there. If I remember my geology lesson on igneous rock, unlikely it's moving anywhere once it hardens. Hmm, how thick is your topsoil? what's higher up from your property?

I'm still vibrating a bit from driving the truck 8 hours up from NC. Amazingly wet down there and just dried up as I came North.
and now off to mow the lawn and pick tomatoes. Lots of red ones out there.
although a nap might win out ;)
no rain in the forecast tonight so the lawn will still be there when it's cooler later. got up to 91 here in PA.
and besides don't they say not to mow in the heat of the day? Too hard on the tender grasses, too much stress.
So there, how could I possibly go out and do that to all of them? :D

Good afternoon all. 66F this morning, forecast for 89F and an outside chance for popup thunderstorms. Received .4 inches of rain last night. Finished the wheelbarrow tire without pinching the tube again. :) Got the grass out of the driveway cracks. Now need to de-clutter the house. Photo shoot tomorrow.

Warm Water Sparks Flesh-Eating Disease Warning in Florida - ABC News

The story in the link was about warm saltwater. I spent too much time cleaning over at Mamma's to make the river today. But I did arrange for Sister to drop me and the canoe off at Peacock Bridge on her way to work tomorrow. It will be a full day on the water, but I won't have to paddle upstream like I did last week. I'll take tackle, but it will be strictly catch and release. Unless I catch one that is just too tasty looking to throw back. I do have some salt, a pan and a lighter. I'll try to post pictures Thursday morning.
