Wondering if anyone has advice on initial hydro filter change. Difficult, concerns, dangers etc. At 50 hours and dealer not close. Am rather handy but dont have significant hydro system experience. Any help or suggestions appreciated. Thanks:)

It really isn't much different than changing a motor oil filter. When I do the job I have a good size container to catch any drips and to drop the old filter into. Coat the rubber gasket before installing, hand tighten as far as possible, carefully tighten a bit more with a filter wrench, top off your hydraulic reservoir and check for leaks.

Any concerns of bleeding lines etc? That was my main concern I suppose, unfounded or not. Thanks for the info

All I do is relieve the pressure on the loader. To do this, with the engine off, I simply move the joy stick in all positions. No need to bleed, and not much in the way of fluid running out of the filter housing. It is pretty simple, and I'm just a mediocre mechanic. What tractor model do you have?

I found it easier for me to remove the rear tire to get at the second hydro filter.
