Had a small job the other day to cut down a tree that was getting rotten, tree is secured with wire to tractor. Sorry that the video is a little shaky, the owner of the house was a little nervous when he filmed

well done... with a house and electrical wires, looks like it was dropped perfectly.

I don't like big trees next to my house but hate to see a healthy tree taken down. Was the core rotted?

Thanks
The tree is a birch tree and it had rot in the center, where I cut it there was a hole 6 "in the middle and it went a channel all the way up to the top that was rotten. Another reason for the tree to be removed was that the wall of the house never managed to dry thoroughly

The shaking got me laughing. There was definitely a "buzz" going after the tree came down. Even more shaking! hahaha

Yes --- good job. That tree was huge v. the house.

I especially liked the way the lady moved and kind of ducked when the tree fell even though she was far away from the whole thing.

Also, I can understand why the homeowner was a tad anxious.

Wondering how you did the cut.

Did you do an aiming cut, plunge cut the center out and then hit the backstrap to release the tree? The video isn't good enough for me to tell how far up the tender line is.

Felled it pretty much as you suggested. Wire was attached slightly above the lower branches when it was so high we came withe a ladder.

Was one who wanted slabs of the log to make small tables so I borrowed a Sthil MS 880 chainsaw. Decent saw but I take husqarna verson any day.
