Boy did you do well with that Wallenstein purchase! I have been hoping to find a used one in good condition. Is it the one previously on CL from PA or CT?

It was in the Boston CL.

I bought it for $1450.00

I guess I did okay. I bought a Jinma WC8 off CL for 1100 bucks. I had to modify it a bit in as much as I'm using my M9000 Kubota for a power source (bit of overkill). I added a Weasler 800 inch pound 2 plat slip clutch on the chipper input as insurance against twisting something.

Was pretty well used. I took out the feed roll and ground the 'teeth' to a sharp V. Got an extra set of beat up knives (that I'll get sharpened at some point). It's the fixed (non rotatable chute), no biggie. I've run logs as big as the opening will take as fast as the feed roll will pull them in but then I'm inputing almost 85 PTO ponies. Running an 8" diameter ash log, the chute is blowing a sold stream of chips. Pretty impressive.

I don't need to run it at 540, I run it about 500 PTO rpm. The original owner drilled vent holes in the backside knife access cover and it blows plenty of air, never clogs and I'm running lots of grapevines and such.

Never thought much about a chipper but we've had burning ordinances put into effect so the chipper is a viable tool now but I didn't want to pay new price so I found this one. Exactly the same as the Woodmax mechanical (economy) chipper. Actually, all the Woofmax parts fit.

bedises, my wife likers aht chips in the flower beds.
