I think we can transfer a plate to another vehicle, not sure. If the vehicle is not being replaced, then we should turn them in, which supposedly releases us from any liability attached to the use of those plates following the turn in date. They are no fun to collect anymore with the year stickers instead of stamped years.

We are required to return them to avoid future tax bills on the vehicle. Otherwise I'd save them like I did while living in Michigan and ohio.

Bob, I was over at Mamma's one day, and she had on the farm channel, like she always does. They were showing an old program with Little Jimmy Dickens. He was telling a story about the band playing at a nursing home. After the show he was going around and talking to the people. He ask one old lady if she knew who he was. The lady said, "no, but if you ask the lady at the desk, she will tell you."

LOL - Larro....fits Funny stuff..I can see little Jimmy Dickens now.. ...I wonder if he could tie his shoes....;)

Larro, wonderful story.

hmmm, found out my hopeful new home has an 8 year old roof. Very good to know, it looked great.
there JD, I just dribbled out a little. Not too much I hope.
course we won't get into dribbling will we...:D

nice lunch with my next older brother. He always has a high performance car, as an accountant, it's his release from numbers.
today was the bumblebee on steroids, a bright yellow 427 Corvette convertible, last of the "old" style, 2013 I think.
Top down, his electronically modified exhaust stuck on wide open, and it was quite nice and not obnoxious. He always drives a stick.
We had lunch at a local restaurant where he does the tax work, and as typical in a smaller town area, gives a lot of business advice too.
he is very well respected and I'm proud of him. His wife just retired as head of the English Dept in the public high school both he and I went through together, one grade apart. We dodged potholes and had a good time.

And then the plastic surgeon gave me good news, only a little procedure needed, but since it was on my eyelid, I wasn't taking any chances. Glad to come back and get that taken care of.

Gosh, I'm dribbling too much, but since it's happy hour in Key West, perhaps it was just the glass...;)

Brin, I've finally decided to follow your treasure map.
You know, the one in your avatar.
Now I'm finding Bear Creek, Flat Creek, Ochwalkee Creek, and Limestone Creek, lot of creeks...
"then to the creek" is ??? how deep is it?

I believe one needs to be driving a cherry old John Deere to find this creek... :tractor:

and I never understood why that saying wasn't down a creek without a paddle.

unless of course you were up the creek without a paddle and the creek was not running "down"; e.g. in the direction you want.
hey, why paddle when mother nature provides the power?
clearly overthought.

Cannot believe the project I started today....have been wanting to replace the 1975 vintage dark wood vanity in the oldest bath...it came with the house. Walls are tiled halfway up...know what the moron who installed the vanity did? Removed the tiles and RECESSED the vanity and top (36" width) one inch into the corner..top has no backsplash...then NAILED AND GLUED the vanity and top to the floor and walls....and the only way to get the vanity out was to break it up and remove it a little at a time...because I wanted to reuse the top (real marble) and not have to replace any broken tiles. Weird thing is, recessing the vanity and top an inch wasn't really needed....clearance would have been fine without doing that. Go figger!!!!

Finally got my phone to sync with my PC so I can show you what I was doing....

I recall when you paid for license plates you got two REAL STEEL tags every year....now you get a two square inch vinyl stick on tab for your registration...and the tab costs 6X as much as the real plates did...

53 right now...today's high is to be 84 and clear.

I'm taking my wife to Burlington to get replacement dentures. That should take most of the day...but if we get home early enough, I'll stack some more wood.
