Not a misplaced sticker; it's about applying an unearned sticker, one that implies the device meets certain specifications and safety standards.
Or does it get down to, there is nothing in the world wrong with these welders, just the right palms were not greased? That's how it works in this country!

Again, scooby, you are making assumptions and drawing conclusions own your own based off of bias. I did not say that or intimate that...everyone can see that but you. You are making it appear that You have no idea how any company aggressively grows, learns, adapts as it expands...and appears you do not understand that the process includes making mistakes, and trying to do better. I think it's clear you have never run a growing, large company...you may have worked for them, but never been in the saddle it seems. Company's are run by humans, and products are made by humans ultimately...Humans, if I know anything, are prone to error. Every company has laid some eggs and scrambled them at the same time...

Have an awesome weekend Mark
You have seemed like a straight shooter all along to me, and these guys have done nothing to hurt that perception
All they do is make themselves look like bitter old men

Well since the RCMP only REQUESTS the owners to:"dispose of their product according to local waste management protocols"

does that include listing on Craigs list?

This whole thing reads like they put the wrong color label on and should be sold with the warning "might not have been tested" at a good discount.

Did I miss the reports of welders blowing up? Burning down factories? Would my new PA300 fail the test because it came without a plug?

Some people just like to argue just to argue, I see it all the time!

I want to put something like this in perspective, and discuss a hypothetical situation , not real, but it is plausible and easy to compare.

A young man from CA back in the late 70's started a computer business out of his garage. It grew to a multi billion, multi national corporation in a few short years. One day in the early 80's the government comes along and says, Mr. XXXX it appears from a complaint lodged by someone that has failed in their own business as your competition, that you did not have the appropriate business license, and your home was not zoned for business when you started this company, and you continued to run this for 2 or 3 years, without insurance, handicap accessible facilities, and we're sure you missed some cash sales along the way and did not report them to the IRS, therefore we are going to fine you retroactively for X millions of dollars, and disband the company since some of the early product you sold could have been faulty and you did not follow the law and you should return all the money and pay them extra for their inconvenience of having the potential of having their game controllers fall apart in their hands and it could have cut them...only if you had been honest and followed the law, this would not be an issue. Sounds fair right?

Maybe , maybe not.

Fact is that the cert was not earned and had no right to be used.

Ive read on some other forums that the issue is more than just the fraudulent sticker itself, and that the welder has some electrical issues in regards to what's required in Canada. And it varies with regard to what model of welder it is.

Mark

As lilranch2001 said and I repeat

Have a great weekend

and thanks for all you have done for folks on this forum. For anyone capable of logical thought processes it is pretty clear what is going on and just as the result of other "discussions" on other threads I suspect that the people involved, hard as they try to do the opposite have actually cause more favorable opinions of you quite specifically and potentially of Everlast than they have driven away and have convinced otherwise.
Thanks

Ignorance of the law is no excuse.
