Hi,
I am taking delivery of my second BX tomorrow, a BX1870-1 with a 48" MMM and front mount snow blower. I have an overhead door to my shed that is 6' wide x 7' high. I would like to favor one side to leave as much room on the other since my shed is only 8' wide x 12' deep. Is there a good way to keep the discharge flap up? I figure this will buy me a few inches on one side or prevent me from tripping over it on the other. Can I drill a small hole in it and use a bungee cord or just remove it? It is the fine cut deck. Not sure what others have done. I think my shed will hold the weight of the tractor, find out I guess.
I currently have a BX-25 with a 60" MMM and to be honest I guess I am getting lazier as I get older and didn't want to remove the FEL when I needed to mow and I figured it was just a matter of time before I hit something with it. I also have a few 3pt. implements that I figure the smaller BX can run. I'd like to keep the BX-25 set up with the FEL and BH on.
I'll have to report back in the winter about the snow blower, I have the 60" blade now and it worked OK but I wish I got the snow blower instead after having it a few years. After reading up on it and seeing how happy people have been with it I am hoping I will not be disappointed.
Thanks.
