Log splitter -- is this going to work?

/ Log splitter -- is this going to work? #31
As far as the log splitter/log lift valve that I posted, I have seen no data suggesting that both spools would operate at the same time.

However, I will check on the dual function.

They may or they may not.

But two spool (two handle) valves like on old tractors operate more than one function at a time. Or even like a backhoe. Think how much of a PITA it would be to dig if you could only operate one function at a time? or if when only operation 1 function, it was as slow as is if you were operating 3 at a time?

You all asked a bunch of questions, and I'm just saying.

because you have lots of knowledge and we do not

Even with valves that you can operate multiple spools at the same time, you still share the flow among all valves not in neutral.

My Case BH has some restrictions that limit the GPM to a specific cyl.

Yes, flow is shared but only with the valves in use. When not in use though, they don't rob flow like a flow divider would. And I think that would be acceptible with the op. If the ram slows a bit when using a second function, no big deal. That is to be expected. But no point in also loosing flow if no other functions are being used.

Update

I bought the valve and plumbed as drawn in the OP. I've split 5-6 cords with it trouble free and would not want to be without auto cycle ever again.

As expected it doesn't provide fluid to the lift valve while the auto cycle valve is operating. But the log lift is able to lower by gravity when the auto cycle is in use... I can't raise the lift until the end of the cycle. But in practice that doesn't really matter. This setup does everything I want.
