LS P7010C, Ford 7710 SII, Case 2090, Ford 3500 TLB, Fordson Dexta
After weeks of researching 4WD cab tractors, I pulled the trigger on an LS P7010C today. With all the great reviews on TBN the LS seems to be the best buy out there and I pretty much can't wait to try it out. Should be delivered next week. This will be primarily used for raking hay and handling round bales but it will probably become the tractor of choice for plowing snow in the winter as well. Gotta thank all you TBN members who helped make this decision by contributing to this forum.

You are going to love the power of the 7010C and the cab is nice also. I have been using mine trying to row up a new garden area with some 2 row cultivators but I keep breaking stuff on it, bolts in the plows feet mostly but this morning I pulled the 3 PH off one side. Got a little welding job out of that one. 7018 on the cast steel fitting worked great. Got it all put back together and made one round in my 100 foot long rows and broke the bolt in the plow feet on two plows. I was at 1000 RPM and in Med range 1st gear, just poking along but when I hit some big rocks something has to give and that tractors engine never even grunted.

Yeah this has a little more power than I really need for pulling a hay rake which only needs 30 HP but I'm thinking that this tractor could also be a backup baling tractor if the occasion should arise. I normally use the Ford 7710 which is about 20 pto HP more to bale but I think the 7010 could handle it if it needed to. Not to mention the dozens of other uses like handling gravel, lime, firewood, and so on. I used to bale with the Case 2090 which is 108 pto HP so I'm kinda used to having the excess power. Always figure it's better to have more than enough rather than be under powered. The cab is definitely nice especially in the summer when haying and the temps get into the high 80's. Not to mention staying warm in the winter when plowing snow it's below 0 and the wind is blowing 30 mph!! The 2090 and the 7710 both have heated and A/C'd cabs as well but neither is as nice as the 7010's. Looks like they'll be relegated to the shed next winter!

Good luck getting the garden in. What would a farmer do without a welder and torches? Mine usually get a pretty good workout too. Looks like I won't need to worry about getting on the garden for at least a couple more weeks as the ground here in NE Pa is so wet this year that everything is behind schedule. Can't even get on fields to spread lime or fertilizer yet. Just gotta be patient I guess.

Congrats, nice tractor!

Thanks TSO. I noticed that you have QA pallet forks for your tractor. I bought a set when I got the tractor too. Should come in handy for handling pallets, obviously, big rocks, logs, etc, etc, etc.

Welcome to the LS "P" series club and TBN. Be safe and you will love the cab! It's a very capable tractor.

One thing I have found on mine is that with the FEL on, it is a bit light in the rear even with filled tires. It really needs some additional wheel weights to take advantage of all that engine's power.

Well, I finally got the tractor last Friday and overall I'm quite impressed with it. Used it to tow a tri-axle dump truck up my muddy lane after he got stuck. It walked it up the 8 or 10 degree hill in 5th gear without a whimper! I haven't quite found the knack for connecting the QA bucket and forks yet. Not as easy as it is with the skidsteer as you can't see the connection and they have to line up perfectly. Might try storing the attachments on a tractor tire to see if raising them up off the ground will help. Anyone have any suggestions?

Only have a few hours on the tractor cleaning ditches, spreading gravel and using the bucket as a work platform to change out a light fixture. My neighbor said I paid way too much for my ladder but I disagreed. Definitely a lot easier to work out of the bucket than from the top of a ladder.

I'm a little disappointed in the tractor seat. For one thing the height adjustment is VERY hard to adjust (had to use channellock pliers) and could be higher, at least for me. Maybe I'll try adding something under the seat frame to raise it a little. Also the back doesn't tilt or adjust and the seat doesn't swivel. Probably just nit picking but my other cab tractor seats have all those features so maybe I'm just spoiled. LOL. If this is the biggest complaint I ever have with this tractor I'll be very, very happy.

I open the left hand door, move the seat a little forward and can hook up implements on the FEL pretty easy. It takes that to see the edge of the QA attachment. A camera would be good here.

Also my seat back does tilt, it's on the left side near the hinge. It lever looks almost square but I would really be surprised if yours doesn't 't have it.

I tilt the SSQA bracket forward so I can see the edges that way it is farther forward once in place I lift and curl back at the same time. It works for me.
