Looks a lot like what we call Bind Weed or Morning Glory. What you call it depends upon whether you're a farmer or urban cowboy.

Nope...it's not that. This is growing in the corner of our garden. ..and is a bush like plant. We did plant some different plants in that area to get a start for transplantng later...red buds..etc...but kind of thinking this is something we did not plant, and can't figure out what it is.

It's not honeysuckle.

Now...crab apple...maybe. It at least is closest. My mother-in-law got several starter plants in a package deal from some seed outfit. We planted all of them in one end of the garden and now we've lost the details of which plant is which and what they are. They have all prospered fairly well and it's transplant time.

Here's a picture of the whole bush/tree. Ignore the plant next to it with the off yellow stake.

Hmmm.... thinking about it though, you rarely have leaves out before fruit blossoms... so maybe not.

Well it's a year later, and still not sure what this is. I know this fall....I'll try to cut it back and transplant, since this doesn't belong in the garden.

Here it is a year later. Given this new picture, any new ideas what it is? It's in the crab apple family, but more a bush.

My wife says Almond Bush/Tree. Plus they have to be mature enough to have fruit.
