Kubota Grand L 3240 cab BH 92 backhoe
Looked at a John deere 3720 cab today

Drove by a John deere dealer today. Stopped to look at a 3720 cab with a 375 backhoe that was out front. It seems so small and compact compared to my Grand L 3240, it had 75 hrs on it. I looked at a 3320 before I bought my Kubota didn't notice the size difference as much as I do now. The cab is much smaller, tires wheels everything seemed compact.
The 375 backhoe was so very small compared to my BH92
I could get to like the 3720, any reasons why I would keep my Kubota over switching to the John deere 3720 besides losing money.

I think you got cabin fever. You remind me of my friend. He just sold his 1-year-old Kubota BX-25 and bought a Ditch Witch Loader that you have to stand on, while operating. Go big or go back!

Nothing I can think of, my neighbor has a 3720; open station, but it sure looks smaller than the GL if that's what you are looking for.

Hi Tom nice to hear from you, I haven't heard from you in a while thought I may have rubbed you the wrong way or something.
If you remember I bought my 3240 with the smaller L3800 tires cause I wanted a Grand L cab the size of a B tractor
Here is a picture next to the B2650, almost looks the same. But it was 3 inches closer to the ground and I chicken out and got the right size tires.
It was truly amazing the difference the tires made.

Look at the size of these tires, It's had to believe its the same tractor.

Here it is next to my B3030 when the Grand L was delivered, They look the same size don't they.
Maybe it would be cheaper to just get a set of the smaller tires when I feel I want a smaller tractor just swap them out?

You certainly did not offend me, I guess I just have not happened upon one of your threads in a while. With all of the superb modifications you do, I guess I never noticed your preference for smaller tires. I tend to stick with tractors forever, kind of like a marriage to me. If you like the JD, by all means get one. As nice as you keep your Kubotas, you should be able to get your money back easy. Having said that, if it were me, I would keep the Kubota.

Price out a new L3560 equipped like your L3240 to get an idea of present, entry level Grand L pricing.
I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the boost in sticker price over what you paid for yours.

You are right Baby Grand I was pleasantly surprised on the price increase. I also went back this morning and spent an hour with the 3720, Its nice but not like the Grand L
Tom I'm taking your advice and Keeping the Kubota.
The only option I have for a smaller tractor is to get the smaller tires.

Comparing the 2650 to the 3240: To me the small one looks more like a lawn tractor setting next to a real tractor. Nothing comparative in size of the two other than cabs look about the same height. Tractor on the right is much beefier in all visible parts.

I looked at the JD3720 back in 2009 before I bought my L3940. After I bought and used the L3940, I sat on the JD3720 at the local fair just to make sure I made right decision. No questions, I made the right decision for my needs. Philip.

Yeah, I said the same thing today. I would be a fool to get rid of my 3240 for that. Not only that no auto throttle advance, I use that all the time.

Gary at the time I was just trying to get it to fit in my 7ft door, I was still one inch too tall, so the door had to be raised anyway.

Don't forget about the dual speed hydro.
