Good morning all,
I bought a B7800 last week with a BH75a backhoe as well. I don't have the operators manual for the hoe (I DO have the parts manual). Does anyone have a PDF version of the operators manual they can share? There is not one for this model at the free kubota books online site unfortunately.
Secondly...
Can anyone give a newbie like me some guidance on determining if the hoe is working at full power? For example, how does one determine what the appropriate amount of upward/downward force/power is 'normal'? Obviously the hoe is not unlimited in power, so I don't know how to tell what is too much for the hoe vs if there is a technical problem that is limiting the power of the hoe. I do know that I have a 12" metal drain pipe that has been crushed and the hoe was unable to pull the bend out of it when pulling upward. It seems to dig gunk out of drainage ditches just fine. I've not tried much else yet. Are there are any standard tests I can do to confirm if it's working properly? If it's not, I'm gonna need to use it to dig my own grave (when my wife asks why I need to repair my new expensive hoe). I've seen people mention checking the hydraulic fluid. Where is this done on the BH75a? As mentioned above, I don't have an operators manual, so I'm having to learn by trial and error.
I've got a very small amount of hydraulic fluid on the platform underneath the controls. I am thinking that something probably needs tightening up. I suppose this just makes me wonder if the leak is limiting the power somewhere.
Thanks folks!
