I own a 1967 Ford 3000 diesel. I have found, via an advertisement, a front loader/bucket from a Ford 3500. I don't know the year. Is it likely that would fit on my machine? I'm not a mechanic and I am not sure what questions to ask the seller.

Thanks,

Don

Not sure on the 3500 my 3000 has what looks to be the same as the 3400 series industrial.

From what I have seen the most quoted models on the 3000 are model 730 and 735 ford loaders.

The one I have has a front crankshaft driven Vickers vane pump that powers only the FEL gear pumps were also used -this style set up will give very fast lift and curl speeds that would embarrass some newer machines... the style that relies on the tractors 3 point pump will be MUCH slower. and also is not fully independent of 3 point operation. The other thing to consider is the 3000 has a lighter duty front adjustable axle than the industrial model - which with heavy use can be broken, although if treated with care or once reinforced seems to hold up ok.

my :2cents: and hope this helps

There are two questions to ask. "What model loader?" And "does it come with the front pump?"

Actually thought of some more IF it is a front pump style does it come with these parts

1 the crankshaft drive coupler that bolts to the crank hub? have not seen this part for sale??
2 the splined drive shaft - like this?? 292222 Ford New Holland 10 38" 730 Hydraulic Pump Drive Shaft 13 Spline | eBay
3 the drive coupler assembly New C5NNN879A Ford New Holland Hydraulic Pump Hub 335 340 532 535 3400 4400 | eBay
4 the pump hub 291315 Ford New Holland Tractor Hydraulic Pump Hub 730 Loader w 13 Spline New | eBay

5 the complete valve assembly
6 the front mount plate for the pump
7 a working pump - these can run $700 + for the vickers style

I am sure i forgot something but this should give an idea of what all is needed- missing or non functional part costs can add $$ up fast...
