Pallets in fields

All the big scientific words that make me google search are wearing me down ... It's so cold tomorrow I'm setting my pallets on fire the HECK with science !!!

Don't do that!!! My psychic powers tell me that we are very close to the solution.

Madam Zelda

Yes! Do that. However, it must be done scientifically.

Carefully weigh the pallets, record the relative humidity and temperature, note your elevation above sea level and barometric pressure. It's best to video these measurements, that you may better fend off the usual rabidly critical attacks in journals written by jealous scientists.

With four high-speed video + stereo sound cameras placed in a quadrant around the pallets, light 'em up while capturing any combustion by-products in fire proof certified blind test head bags.

When combustion is complete, it is imperative that the remaining ash and charcoal bits are weighed and that their volume in liters is recorded. Do not toss empty beer cans in the fire!

Please submit your measurements and recordings to the committee for detailed analysis. Any discrepancies in the before and after combustion metrics will indicate the possibility of an alien presence having occupied the pallets.

This brings back memories. The exam copies were produced by mimeograph, and I remember the many attentive and attractive coeds that enrolled in my course. Some of them requested and received individual tutoring............................

Steve
Aha... the smell of the mimeograph! Was this your version of the Spanish Fly?

AND please don't forget to record the nail/fastener number & placement, in each quadrant, on graph paper.

Ta!

What time? We can do a synchronized burning.

   / Pallets in fields #1,427
The talk of burning the pallets has brought snow to this arid hot dry region. This is very strange. We might should hold off till Summer.

Well burning is out of the question .. These science guys spoiled that with all the demands .. Geez it ain't rocket science to burn a couple pallets

I am really with you on this "Ley Line" thing. To show my support, I am offering you a 25% discount on your next call to my psychic hotline.

Just give the operator the promo code "ley line."

Psychic to the Stars

Dear Madam Zelda,

I called the number shown. As a quick qualification test, after assuring Zelda that I am indeed a TBN poster 'Super Star', I asked Zelda, "Where is my home?" Zelda mumbled something about Bellevue. Wrong!!! Zero psychic ability!! Scam!!!

Your blatant commercialization of pallet science is encouraging proof that we are on to something. Nothing like the smell of success to bring out the hucksters trying to cash in on the hard work of others.

Speaking of hard work, further investigation of Ley Lines has uncovered the migratory abilities of various animals: salmon, turtles and sharks. It has been scientifically proven that these animals use their ability to sense and 'map' the earth's magnetic fields, for both latitude and longitude, to perform amazing feats of navigation.

Ley Lines are unique energy bands that connect sacred and unique places. Energy bands, magnetic lines of force--all the same thing you see.

BBC News - Sea turtles' migration mystery is 'solved'
Turtles
"Until now, how species such as loggerhead sea turtles manage to migrate thousands of miles across oceans with no visual landmarks has been a mystery."
"It took human navigators centuries to figure out how to determine longitude on their long-distance voyages."

"Loggerhead hatchlings, however, are able to manage this feat as soon as they reach the sea from their nests. On reaching the sea, the hatchlings are able to establish the correct course to the open ocean. The young loggerheads then spend several years successfully navigating complex migratory routes over thousands of miles of ocean."

BBC News - Pacific salmon migrate with a 'magnetic map'
Salmon
"A study suggests that Pacific salmon are born with an in-built "magnetic map" that helps them to migrate over thousands of kilometres. US researchers believe the fish are sensing changes in the intensity and angle of the Earth's magnetic field to establish their position in the ocean. The study is published in the journal Current Biology."

The epic journey of the Pacific salmon is one of nature's greatest migrations.
"It's like they have a map. They know something about where they are based on what field they are in Dr Nathan Putman, Oregon State University

"The fish hatch inland in rivers and streams, before swimming for hundreds or even thousands of kilometres to reach the open ocean.
After several years of foraging at sea, they make their way back to the same freshwater sites where they spawn and then die.
Lead author Dr Nathan Putman, from Oregon State University, said: "The migration is a lot of effort and it is definitely challenging, and looking at it from the outside, it doesn't seem necessarily intuitive how they could manage that."

Sir, I believe you missed a directional sign somewhere along the way -- your should have turned to the right. That will put you in the "Friendly Politics" forum. You ought to feel right at home there.;)

Dave ,you never mentioned that some of the great and not so great sacred sites also are on the Ley lines. The great Pyramid that is said to be a tomb yet no body was ever found in it. A lot of other sites are the same. They even have a lot of the same design incorporated in to these structures. Yet they are thousands of miles from each other.
One last thing has sparc ever checked out if the pallets are on the Ley lines ?

Mate, not to admonish you but you really need to go back and read ALL of the submissions to this thread if you are to avoid going over old ground.

Briefly, sparc posed the question with limited observed (from the side of a road 'somewhere' in NJ) parameters, to wit:

Pallets arranged (erected) in an inverted V formation some distance from the edge of field fencing. Estimated distance between erections is 500'. Erections were noted in several adjacent fields and the typical crop of those fields is 'produce'. Erection of the pallets commences in late Autumn and the formations are removed by mid-Spring.

sparc promised to report back to this thread "first thing" in the new year... to date, nothing has been heard from him.

We are forging on, regardless of the apparent demise of sparc, to solve this conundrum in the spirit of science and TBN tenacity!

Further information. Old Sparc, has posted in many other threads, and has avoided this thread like the plague. Sparc has not been killed in the name of science, Sparc has abandoned this project for whatever reason.

You are correct John. Meridian Hill in Washington DC occupies a place on one of the more significant east coast Ley Lines. The Freemasons, who designed much of the Washington DC capitol, were all secret students of Ley Lines.

There are many notable Freemasons in history.
John Wayne
Wyatt Earp
'Buzz' Aldrin, Second astronaut to set foot on the moon
George Washington, along with many other US Presidents
John Jacob Astor, rich dude
Peter Sellers, Pink Panther
Joseph Smith, Mormon leader
Harland Sanders, of KFC fame
Roy Rogers, cowboy
Will Rogers, comedian, lasso artiste and actor
Paul Revere, patriot and silversmith
Fess Parker, Davy Crockett
John Molson, beer
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, composer

The list goes on and on.

We can only surmise the reason for sparc's abandonment. Foul play could be involved: strong arm, extortion, transmogrification, who knows?

SPARC .. That's what's needed to start my pallet fire

Placing pallets in the fields keeps them from damaging the farm buildings if they explode.

Video of exploding pallets:

Now we are making progress. What test would allow us to falsify your theory?

Steve

That's easy, put a sparc to a pile of pallets.

No joke snitching allowed.

You're right, I'll get right on that first thing next year. :)

Although I am of the opinion that sparc is a slacker of the first order when it comes to science, he does have "technical" outs.

Note that sparc did not specify a calendar when he referenced the "next year." We assumed that he was referencing the Gregorian calendar.

There are numerous calenders with differing dates of the "new year." For example, we are now in the Tibetian year 2140 (the year of the "female water snake") and the Tibetan year 2141 (the year of the "male wood horse") will begin on March 2, 2014 of the Gregorian calendar (Losar - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia). See New Year - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia for a listing of other definitions of the "new year."

I believe sparc can escape justice on this technicality.:(

I believe Sparc is a pallet stacker. I believe he was stacking these poor pallets and intentionally incriminated us by divulging key information about their location and condition. Once we were sufficiently involved he got the heck out of Dodge and has never looked back. For all we know these pallets will require years of counseling from being stacked.
