How many gallons of fluid will my tires hold?

Using the Gempler's tool - the one the releases air automatically as the tire is filled with fluid - I filled the tires this afternoon. Super slick. Anxious to do some loader work to check out the difference 425 lbs in the tires make.

So, how did they work out?

Makes a noticeable difference. Tractor more stable on varied terrain and much less pucker using the bucket.

When I bought my tractor I filled both the front and rears so I wouldn't float in water, -dredging my ponds-and it is amazing what a difference it makes. it's like a tank. my first tractor didn't have filled tires and as soon as I got into the water the tractor would "float".

Wow, you wouldn't think a tractor would float like that. So how did you protect the drivetrain from the water you were driving through?

I wasn't driving all that deep, maybe a foot,but with the big tires as soon as it would get into the water it would start to float. I also have a couple of creeks i cross that are about a foot deep and it would get tippy there also.

Why Methaol Alcohol, why not one gallon anti freeze with water per rear tire? The anti freeze will lower the freezing temperature and inhibit corrosion to the wheels?
