I was thinking it looked like a Viking sword BEFORE I noticed that you live in Norway.

Wow. Never found a sword. Lots of nails or old fence insulators. Old barb wire. Usually when I don't want it!!!

It was my grandfather that found it many years ago while he was working on the field, found a axe to so it was most likely remains of a grave.

A neighbor asked me if I could cut the grass in a horse paddock I found fence posts lying in the grass, sunshade concrete base, random pices of firewood, various garden tools, children's toys and a roll of Sheep Fence. all overgrown so it was impossible to see. it ended with the neighbor had to sit and cut fence out of the mower and buy new blades for my mower

Grave headstones, Irrigation pipe, rolls of wire. My wallet. Took me half a day and multiple passes discing a 15 acre strip in a 120 acre field. Coffee thermos. Tools. Drag harrow left in a muddy field by someone the previous year.

-Found a clay pipe marked Glasgow at the bottom of a 13ft dug well once- here in Me. Found a 1/2 a clap pipe in our garden spot a 100 ft over. Mostly its stone I find in the fields!

I found my own buck pocket knife when I dug up part of a sprinkler system I installed 8 years before.

I have found some loose barbed wire once when mowing up close to a fence, but luckily it didn't wind too tightly about the blades on my bushhog. I found a horseshoe on my daughter in laws new property. It was fresh off a horse from the previous owner as it was still shiny. I found 3 old cultivator spade type plow points when disking up my garden, luckily I didn't split open a tire on one of them. When using my box blade leveling off a place to build my shop, I hung 3 big pieces of concrete with the scarifiers. They seemed to be from concreting in fence post but they were far off the current property line so I have no idea why they were there.
Mostly I am like tcreeley, mostly all I ever find is rocks sometimes huge ones.

My father in-law found a dead guy.

My father in-law, years ago, was out plowing or discing his field when he came upon this dead guy laying in his field. We asked my father in-law what he did when he found the guy, he said he finished plowing the row he was working on.

Turns out the guy had wondered over from a local establishment and then shot himself.
