Several, all used and abused.
I've been working at a house about 45 minutes from where I live. I'm remodeling the bathroom and they have five kittens. One of them is very bold and super friendly. The others run off, but she always comes up to me and wants to see what I'm doing.

Tonight, about an hour after getting home, I was out in my shop working on a mantel for my parents house when I heard a noise outside the door. I opened the door and heard something coming from my truck. I had a bad feeling about it, but when I opened the hood to my truck, was happily surprised to see that the bold, super friendly kitten was alive and well, sitting on my intake manifold!!!!!

I called my client and told her what had happened, and she replied that it seemed like she went to a lot of trouble to get here and if I wanted her, I should keep her. Karen fell in love with her right away, so it looks like we have a new cat.

We're still thinking of a name for her, but it's looking like it's going to be Destiny.

We had a similar kitty experience and named it "Lucky".

I think that is a great way to keep the mice out of your manifold!

My neighbor came by one evening, sure that I put a cat in his car. He found it after he got to work. I assured him I didnt put the cat in his car and that it wasnt my cat . He handed me the cat and said it was mine now, and drove off.

2 days later I was at work, looked up the shop ailse and here came my new cat. She spent the day in a box at my desk. I took her home and this time I put her at the barn and she stays there now. I now call her Travel cat.

Lucky is a good name, but for a girl kitty might have to call it something else, :D "Genie" (rub the fender and out pops a cat lol) Sure is a pretty one at that, hard to not want to keep her... Name her after the truck or engine?

It's a keeper I'd say. For whatever reason cats can be picky about who they like. Having one that likes you is a good thing.

LOL.... My brother had about the same thing happen to him a while back, but it was two of his chickens..

Eddie, what a cute kittie. I am glad you have decided to keep her and she was unhurt. She needs to learn to keep out of those engine bays though. So many kitties have met a bad end by crawling into the fan shroud. I hope your family and her have many happy years together.

I have always been partial toward friendly cats. Most of them are very aloof and can't be bothered with the hand that feeds them.

Good luck with this one.

Great story & a very cute cat who obviously likes you.
If he takes to hanging around the tractor, then I suspect we may see more of your little grey stowaway.

I would vote for "Lucky" as a name...cats are known to crawl up on the radiator on a cold night and meet with an unfortunate, fur-flying incident when the engine is started and they make contact with the fan. Speaking from experience...

When my Mom still lived at her place out in the country, my wife and I took her car into Ada to get it serviced. The service people said there was a cat between the plastic inner liner and the fender. We tried to lure it out after that. When we got back to the house, the cat came out to eat.
