I like it. Clean, uncluttered, informative. Good job!

I have a problem with your site. Seems to me that anyone owning something without the name Kubota has sub-standard equipment.:hissyfit: Site looks good and i hope everything works out for you business wise. Ok i am off now to go play with my sub-standard equipment. Wait that didn't come out right.:drink:

Are you going to offer free quotes? Say so if that is the case.

Steve

I should add that into the site, yes we will do free quotes for jobs. I am on the fence putting my hourly rate and minimum on the site, would rather the person meet me, discuss the work and then discuss pricing.

Why do you have this --NOT A LICENSED CONTRACTOR?

Why do you have this --NOT A LICENSED CONTRACTOR?

It's a requirement here in Arizona, if you are not a licensed contractor you can operate under the handyman clause, but you have to state in all advertisements "Not a Licensed Contractor". To become licensed they do not count years of operating machinery, they want you to show W-2's for three years working under a company. It would be nice if they had a large dirt lot and they tested you on your ability. So in three years I can show them my tax returns and become licensed, it's really another case of government hindrance of small business.

Here we have people say they are a licensed Roofer when there is no such license.

You might want to get a testimonial or two on there pretty quick, or maybe just remove that link until you have some customer feedback to use.

Having the link there with no testimonials appears like I might be investing in a guys first job with all his shiny new equipment that he may not have paid for yet.

I hope that you take my perspective as constructively as it is meant to be. I wish you success in your endeavor.

I would not post either your rates or your minimum.

You could add a section showing before and after pictures of your work. Then add testimonials when they come in.

Good luck.

Steve hit on the head with the before and after photos. It just plain works. As a matter of fact, google picked up the photo page on my website long before their 'bots found the rest of my site. You can check out my site at jnb-construction.com for ideas if you want.

Also, for tons of free ideas on marketing your business, check out darrenslaughter.com.

The best of success to you!

I have a few customers writing up some testimonials for me as we speak.

Your site looks great, I do like all the before and after pictures. Looking at the one driveway where you state a mix of limestone fines, screenings and
3/8" crushed limestone peagravel. Sounds similar to a gravel pit product called Mag Spec that I use out here in AZ, except it's not limestone, stuff makes beautiful driveways and it packs down real nice after some rain.

Excellent, keep us posted as the pics and testimonials are added.

I would not list your pricing. You want people to inquire instead. I would not slam potential competitor's regardless of what equipment they might bring to a potential customer's jobsite. Same with mentioning specific model and year of equipment. Soon enough 2013 will be a year old. Mention instead that you employ the latest Kubota and Toyota offer to get the job done right the first time with less chance of downtime due to running new equipment....
I'd also separate your words with a space in your logo- it's easier for the brain to process and visually more pleasing.
