Good morning all. 51F in TX going to 64F partly sunny, light breeze. More painting this morning, followed by golf this afternoon. Not sure why stepdaughter scheduled golf 2 days before move :confused3:

I am pleased to report that I am headed off to Meeting this morning, first time in a long time, and I think I can keep my
emotions in check. Going to think happy thoughts, best memories, and ponder what tomorrow will bring.
I've been going to this same very old Quaker Meeting since I was five, and it has been strange to be away so long.
I'm sure it will be nice to "go home". It really is home for me, and we just buried Nadene in the family plot in the large beautiful graveyard there. With some gravestones so old, that it was hard to trace their origins, but some were local Indians, some were likely descendants of William Penn. It is an utterly beautiful place with huge old trees that cost us more than we can afford to take care of each year, but we do. I do a lot of outside maintenance work there, even replastered the wall near our entrance door. And thankfully, it has not cracked in three years. So I can exhale...

Good Morning. 1145, clear, 58* with 78% humidity. Forecast high of 68*. I woke up at 0600 and thought about going out to my shooting house. But I had a late night at work, so I rolled over and slept until 0930. No real plans for the day, other than eating Thanksgiving leftovers, watching some football, and doing a little hunting in the late afternoon. We have a four day gun season here in NW Florida during Thanksgiving weekend, then a break until December 14th. Although I can bow hunt {bucks only} for five more days, December 2-6. I might as well get my $5.00 worth out of the archery stamp.

Drew, we bought a generator after that summer that five major hurricanes hit Florida. Since then we haven't had over an hour or two of blackouts. If we hadn't bought it, there is no telling what would have happened.

Beautiful day on Delmarva! Cold early but low 50's and bright sunshine now. I don't have a lot of energy but gotta do the last bit of cleanup from yesterday's Thanksgiving dinner. My wife has picked up a lot of slack for me, with all her minor ailments she's surprised me with her ability and willingness to cover for me. My daughter and son in law have been great as well. It's driving me nuts not being able to do stuff, but at least the basics are getting done. One thing all this has taught me;
