I can't believe I did this.
Well, since I did the same thing to my Nissan truck two years ago, well,
I guess I better start believing in my own mental decline. Or finally hooking up the tracker gizmos
that fit on one's key. I have the kit, just never set it up.
I came home from a doc appt this morning and started to load the suburban with the twenty some large heavy
bags full of donation clothes. I get it all done, aching pretty good, but that was only the appetizer to my dinner of misery,
Where are my keys? I have checked everywhere, for hours. Three times. The worst part is I heard a ka-chinking sound earlier but couldn't place it, thought it was something, basically I was distracted. Seems it was my truck keys running away at high speed. Just like the original set did. They must go South for the winter...
Luckily the truck wasn't locked and it's accessible to the flat bed.
Just my pride and wallet is hurt actually, unless the tow driver does something stupid.
These keys are the intelligent ones,
unlike their owners... and they have to be reprogrammed at the car in the dealership.
It's too bad, I asked them to have Onstar start up the car, and I'd drive it to the dealership and get a lift home.
That didn't fly at all, not sure why. So my suburban will be hauled off, luckily at no cost, to the dealers crammed to the ceiling with my clothing bags going to GoodWill.
and without a doubt I will find the missing key tomorrow. At least the reprogram on that is cheap. And the locator tracker is going to get installed for sure.
Not my brightest move.
and how did your day go?
