That will move some snow, how wide is the plow? Are you using the tractor hydraulics?

Yes. I am going to use the existing loader control valve. I believe the blade is 68 inches. Cut it down back in spring and don't exactly recall.

You even put the "If you stick your foot under the blade and drop it, you can't sue me stickers on it.."

The decal is for the spring tension and just says jammed blade can return without warning. I put these factory decals on it so people who see it think its a factory product. Then when I say I built it they are in awe.

Hehe I actually zoomed in and noticed that last night lol. Looks awesome. Did you go with paint or powdercoat?

Your tractor with R4 tires may have difficulty pushing a blade that big. A set of chains would enhance performance significantly.

Hoping I won't need chains. Blacktop dislikes that. I do have ballast for rear 3pt arms. Put lines on tonight and works nicely

some where on TBN there was a thread about adding grooves to AG tread tires for better snow traction.

Thanks for the link about grooving the tires. May even have what is needed if I ask around work. I happen to work at a tire plant.

Cartod; How's that thing push? My dad a snow blower on a V-twin craftsman tractor it does fairly well but that's not the same as trying to 'push' show. It seems if you made piles with a smaller tractor like that your bound to have a smaller and smaller area everytime you plow unless you push them wayyyy back the first time.

That's one of the biggest reasons to use a blower rather than a blade. If you don't start right away pushing WAY back and over-estimating your total snowfall you can easily box yourself in. The problem is compounded by a smaller tractor but still applicable with a big one. Once it freezes solid you are pretty much stuck with it where it is.

It does very well, it's a heavy little tractor with rear wheel weights and chains. It won't push a 10' drift but it will move the snow quite easily.
