I had to Google refractory cement. It might do the trick. We want to build an outside kitchen {cook shed in the local lingo} in a couple of years, and I wanted to put the woodstove in the screened in part of it. Maybe by the time we get started on the cook shed, I'll have patched the stove. Thanks for the info.

You can also buy fiberglass "rope" that is used in door seals for one size and other sizes for spaces elsewhere.

68F, no rain since midnight and only .14 in yesterday, which mostly stopped after my posting.

Got the first bias cut section of chainlink up - another learning experience. Two 6 ft gates hung. The two hardest sections (30' and 40') remain, both have a change in slope along the line - could be interesting. I hope to get to one of them this afternoon depending on getting other stuff done this AM.

Have a great day

Need to brew some coffee. 37° with light spurts rain this morning. Heading to 44° with a mix of sun and clouds and a brisk wind. Wind did not do it's job yesterday. Leaves have completely covered lawn. May wait one more day to see if wind will clear some of the leaves. Drew, very sorry for your loss. Good Morning All.

When we lived in Ga, plenty of trees in the neighborhood. Neighbors would be out for days raking. I would run over them with the mower telling the neighbors "God put them here, He must want them here, if He wants them moved, He will do so." Guess it didn't make me very popular, but after a few years I stopped being asked about raking leaves.

48*, cloudy, calm with very light mist. Supposed to rain a bit later this morning. Off to the hospital this morning for a routine blood test draw to check cholesterol. Do you guys that take statins think it is affecting your memory? I've been drawing blanks lately in cases where I shouldn't be, or don't think I would have in the past.

Never had a problem with Lipitor, 10mg. When they switched me to generic, I started getting frequent lower leg/foot cramping at night - bad enough to awaken me and I'd have to get up and walk around. I stopped taking them and decided to do my lifestyle mod, lose weight, more regular exercise and the cramping has been drastically cut back more in line with before generic. I'll be getting a blood chemistry when I get my annual, hoping I don't need to go back on it.

We got the results of Joan's biopsy back, she has cancer, but the good news is that it is 100% curable, she caught it very early. She is going to have at least a lumpectomy, and radiation, plus about 5 years of drugs. We will know more Monday, when she meets with the docs. Her sister and mother are going with us, her mother had it years ago. Thanks for the prayers and good thoughts. I kinda halted everything here until we get some more info. Thanx guys.

I had lipitor, and bp meds. I did have lower leg pain. I am now on a generic Caduet, which combines bp and chrolesterol meds. I find the side effects are muted if I take them with food.

300UGUy--When you go in there, take as few people as possible and keep the questions organized. Write down your questions in advance. Ask if the tumor was staged, ask for a prognosis and remember that's a five year estimate, not lifetime. Ask what question other people ask that you didn't and then ask what questions you should have asked but didn't and get a copy of the biopsy. Just my two cents.

Thanks. We are writing down questions. Her mother had a double masectomy, and her sister is quite intelligent on this stuff.
