After normal lingerie, this is what I wear and the order I put them on. First I put on a pair of nylon knee-high dress socks, then a pair wicking long-john (LJ) bottoms and tuck in my t-shirt, then a pair of knee-high wool socks pulled over the LJ's, a long sleeve-T laying over the (LJ) bottoms. Then I put on my gore tex snowmobile bibs and put a zip-necked long sleeve fleece over that. Then my boots. Then my one size larger than normal carhart jacket, and top everything off with either a sock hat or my Mad Bomber hat, depending on wind conditions, and then my choice of gloves. I can usually spend all day outside plowing/snow blowing, but I occasionally need to come in to cool down - really!

Before putting on my bibs and carhart I usually put them in the dryer for about 10 minutes. I think that, along with the clothing overlap, helps to retain body heat much longer.

Hello I really liked you dressing sense for winters but what you like to wear in summers while riding tractor? :)

Duroc - Your preparation, cold wx gear and procedures makes me homesick for my days in Alaska (1960-1982) and does not sound unreasonable at all. Let them laugh - they have never spent ALL DAY outside in truly cold weather.

Do a site search. It's been discussed before. I was looking at them myself but the cost of shipping was the killer on price.

You can take a ride to upstate NY. I'm pretty sure Emrich's has pre season sales on 3 point snowblowers.

Here's mine with 75 inch blower and Boss 8 ft. straight blade attached, have not tried in the snow yet but the wheels work fine in the stone and lawn. Work off third remote. Wheeling the blower around the shop on the wheels is a breeze as they balance the blower perfectly.

I really like the wheels on the blower. Much better height control than with just the 3PT. I have trouble keeping the gravel on the driveway even with the skids set to maximum.

Yes, however, the paint was pretty chipped up and it came with a gallon of paint which was the same color so I quickly sprayed on a coat of primer and then the paint. I just wanted it to be covered so it would look a little better and would stop rusting. I need to get the decal kit so I can have the model number and name back on the side shields. I wish the paint job came out better, however, my wife let my neighbor borrow my paint gun and he must have used more than fifty pounds of air to the gun. When I went to use the gun it would not spray correctly. The O rings in the gun are torn which is an indicator that too high pressure was fed to the gun. Since I had started spraying it I used the gun as best I could. Next summer I will sand blast the blower and repaint it. I can live with it for this season.

John Deere 755 with a 59" blower. First time using it and the 755 is rated for the 47" blower so we will see how it blows.
