1952 Ford 8N won't start

I have a 1952 8n ford I put a new starter solenoid on it but still want start solenoid just clicks.

How many volts are in the battery?

Are the cables clean?

Are the cables tight?

I charged the battery up it is old I may need a new. One and I'm going to get new cables for it

After battery is charged - wait a day after disconnected to charger. did it discharge? how the acid water level and clarity look when covers are off ? (dont forget your safety glasses) . If the battery has 12 volts and holding - then check the starter. try knocking it with a stick, sometimes the brushes doesnt want to make a connection.

load test the bat, and do a voltage drop test on it when starting.
