A friend of mine recently purchased a new JD combine for $400K+ and it has been in the shop since it was delivered...not a happy camper.

Did he miss harvesting with it? That would really tweak me after $400k

They had a factory rep onsite for days trying to figure things out. Luckily they had other combines and finished but are currently looking at Case once they settle with John Deere.

Update:
Good news, the 3720 is back together.
From what I can tell everything seems to be right. I mowed for 2 1/2 hours today and it ran great. Took it down the road and it seems like a different tractor. No noise in high range, and it ran smooth!
No exactly sure what was replaced (they don't give you a print out) but the tech told me, shift fork, gears, sleeves springs, detent balls? They also recharged the a/c.
Anyway, I'm off the ledge for now. I hope this is the last of it.
